Another year, another Michelin guide. Every chef who takes himself and his food seriously dreams of Michelin recognition, and once obtained, an omission or demotion is not taken lightly.
The prestigious dining tome has just bestowed its 2016 honors on il bel paese, which now holds 388 stars divided among 334 restaurants: 288 one-star, 38 two-star and eight three-stars. Here are some of the highlights from the Italy Michelin Guide 2016.
