9th street Italian market to celebrate it's 100th birthday

The 9th Street Italian Market in South Philadelphia is the nation's oldest outdoor market and on Saturday May 16 and Sunday 17, the merchants invite you to join them for it's 100th birthday. The already-bustling heart of South Philly will commemorate the historic event with the flavors and sights of Italian-American culture.
Highlights will include:
Procession of Saints; Concert Stages with live entertainment; John Marzano Halfball Tournament; Beer Garden; Wine Garden; Interactive areas; Contests; Lots of food and in great variety
