Many waited for hours to meet the reality T.V. star who has influenced bakers to follow their dream. Buddy Valastro, star of “Cake Boss”, was at La Plaza Mall for the grand opening of his famous Carlo’s Bakery and his Italian restaurant, Buddy V’s.

It was Valastro’s father who started Carlo’s Bakery in Hoboken, New Jersey. “I had one little bakery. It was my dad’s bakery. My dad was my idol and I wanted to be like him and 30 years later – I’m the ‘Cake Boss’,” said Valastro.
