It's a Virtual Party!! December 1, 2020, 7:00 pm PT. Please register for this event to receive the event link prior to the event: REGISTRATION. Join us for our yearly Christmas party. Unfortunately, we won't be gathering together in person but that's not stopping us from enjoying beautiful Italian Christmas music sung by Pina.

Even if you are growing weary of Zoom events, this one will be the highlight of December with Pina singing traditional Neapolitan songs as well as other Italian Christmas favorites. Join us for a relaxing hour of music and note there will be a raffle with a few prizes!

Most of you know Pina, but for those who do not, here is a brief bio:

Pina was born in the south of Italy, in Naples, but lived many years in Brescia, in the north. She earned her degree in nursing and practiced for over 25 years in the fields of psychiatry and psychology.

Her passion for the study of humanities led her back to school where she graduated from the Università Degli Studi di Pavia with high honors in Italian Language and Literature, with a thesis of Latin Paleography on the handwriting of the poet Giacomo Leopardi. She has earned the DITALS (Certificate of proficiency in teaching Italian as a second language).

She also loves music and is a singer and guitarist. Pina plays in different venues in and around Portland and has published two CDs of her Italian music. She has also always had many compliments on her cooking skills, and teaches Italian cooking classes for children and adults! Pina is a world traveler as well, and during a trip to Turkey, she met her husband, an American, and that is how she ended up here in Portland.
