Hayden Milanes is too young to have caught the Four Seasons' music when they were topping the charts during the 1960s, but growing up in Tampa, Fla., he often heard his parents play the band's records, and vividly recalls his father walking around the house singing, "Can't Take My Eyes Off You."
Milanes also feels at least two strong connections to the band's Frankie Valli, whom the stage actor portrays in the touring production of "Jersey Boys": •Like Valli, Milanes has a natural soprano range — which Valli put to famous use as lead vocalist, his excitably soaring notes providing the breakthrough element that turned the quartet of struggling New Jersey band mates into major recording and touring artists of the 1960s.
