The Consulate General of Italy in Los Angeles and Frequency Productions will be hosting the “One of Us” Season 2 Los Angeles Premiere for Women’s History Month on March 10th, 6 PM. The documentary features inspiring Italian women living in Los Angeles who are sharing their stories.

The goal of this documentary is to show women as subjects, not objects, and tell stories of women by other women. “One of Us” was directed by Chiara Tilesi. The Los Angeles episode features Giada De Laurentiis (Chef), Raffaella Camera (Head of Brands & Advertisers Solutions at Epic Games Unreal Engine), Federica Raia (Researcher and Professor at UCLA), and Gabriella Pession (Italian Actress).

“One of Us” has other episodes featuring women in Washington D.C and New York City. Every year the team hopes the project can expand to feature women internationally.

The documentary will be available to stream on TaTaTu, the social media platform that rewards users for their time spent connected, and on the Consulate General YouTube channel.

Director Chiara Tilesi says the following about the project, “ I’m very happy that after the success of “One Of Us” from last year, the project has extended to include Washington D.C. and New York. Seeing the stories of these extraordinary women reminds us how important it is to change the narrative about women from an object to a subject. There’s nothing wrong with women; the problem is with the way women are represented in the media. With “One Of Us” we want to continue telling more stories about women each year and continue to shift this paradigm.”
