If you enjoy Italian cuisine and would like to support a local charity, you don’t want to miss “A Taste of Italy.” The Downriver Italian American Club is hosting its 12th charitable event from 6 to 8 p.m. May 9 at the Bentley Banquet Center (formerly the Downriver Italian American Club Hall), 646 Biddle Ave.
The event is a fundraiser for the Penrickton Center for Blind Children in Taylor. As in past years, the “taste” will feature donated samplings of food and drink from various restaurants and suppliers.
