This local orchestra group hopes to foster music back into the community and is presenting “Italian Serenade”, its final concert for the season on April 28 at 3 p.m. We spoke with Rhonda Gowen, the executive director of the Missouri Valley Chamber Orchestra, to learn more about the serenade and other things you might want to know about.
“The Chamber Orchestra was organized in 2000, so it’s been going about 24 years now,” stated Gowen, “I started out as a clarinet player and kind of evolved into the executive director position. But we are a group of probably about 20 musicians that play smaller chamber works and smaller ensembles.”
