Two events, a concert and a festival, will be held in Stamford this weekend in honor of Italian heritage month. First up is the concert: “That’s Amore Live” takes place at The Palace Theatre, Saturday, Oct. 12. Sunday, Oct. 13, is when the “That’s Amore Italian Street Festival” will be held. This family event, which is free, takes place at Columbus Park and features authentic Italian food, music and more.
Performing at Saturday’s concert will be Australian singer Alfio and Sal Valentinetti, from NBC’s “America’s Got Talent.” According to a news release, Alfio “has one of the greatest voices in contemporary music today. This highly charismatic tenor/crooner offers a refreshingly cool and modern throwback to the legendary singers to which he is often compared.”
