"Staten Italy" takes on new meaning this summer at Casa Belvedere — and not in the insulting way so often portrayed in American media.

That's because the Italian cultural foundation's third-annual al fresco film festival, "Cinema Sotto Le Stelle," is once again celebrating true Italian culture with a series of films from the beautiful boot. But after several seasons of serious fare, the fest is exhibiting a lighter touch.
