While most European nations are undergoing a complete shutdown, the White House has woken up and started imparting directions for a national state of emergency. This situation is unprecedented, and we are bracing up for a major paralysis of our society. After such ordinances, gathering in public places would not be just unsafe, it would be plain irresponsible.
We are therefore cancelling the Italian Film Festival. The Festival will be moved up to June or July 2020. We will announce the dates as soon as the Covid pandemic gets under control. Those in possession of a movie pass may keep it, since it continues to be valid. This will help us a great deal supporting the preparatory expenses for the Festival. Of course, if you are planning to travel during that period you may apply for a refund by emailing the Artistic Director, Claudio Di Persia.
We apologize for the inconvenience, but this is a time of national and global emergency and we must behave responsibly. Of course, our regular meeting will resume as soon the situation gets back to normal. Be safe and may the angels look after all of you!
