Italian Festivals of New Mexico and the Club Culturale Italiano present Maestro Anthony Barrese

Award-winning conductor/composer and Artistic Director and Principal Conductor of Opera Southwest, is one of New Mexico's musical treasures. This self-described "second generation Calabrese who has lived and worked in Italy" is an engaging speaker and personality, and among the most enterprising and dynamic young conductors in the world today. He will be in Albuquerque during March and April conducting Gioacchino Rossini's Il turco in Italia.

Italian Festivals of New Mexico and the Italian Cultural Club of Albuquerque will co-sponsor a lecture by Maestro Barrese about Italian Opera and Rossini on March 26 at the Albuquerque Main Library. Don't miss this exciting opportunity to meet Maestro Barrese personally and to hear him speak. This is a FREE event, open to the public on Saturday, March 26 at 11:00 AM at the Albuquerque Main Library Auditorium, 501 Copper Ave. NW. No ticket necessary – but come early as space is limited!
