Award winning writer and playwright Dacia Maraini will talk about and read from her most recent novel, Chiara di Assisi. Elogio della disobbedienza (Rizzoli, 2013), a vivid portrait of Saint Clare, one of the first followers of Saint Francis of Assisi and the author of the Rule of Life—the first monastic rule known to have been written by a woman.
