The Abruzzo Molise Heritage Society (AMHS) invites you to a luncheon with fabulous Italian food (catered by Carmine's in Penn Quarter, Washington, D.C.) and wine, fun, and fellowship.
Be sure to join us for a fascinating presentation by Paul Paolicelli, the author of two wonderful books about his quest to find his family's roots in Southern Italy. The author tells a fascinating story with great affection and appreciation for how the values and culture of Southern Italy shaped the lives of Italian-Americans, 80% of whom trace their heritage to this part of Italy.
His books ("Dances with Luigi" and "Under the Southern Sun: The Real Italy and the Americans It Created") will be available for signing by the author. Accordionist Joan Tacchetti Grauman, will be playing Italian songs loved by many.
Cost: The cost is $25.00. Paid reservations must be received by our Treasurer, Jeff Clark, by September 24. Send to AMHS, c/o Jeffrey Clark - Treasurer, 12 Adams Street NW, Washington, DC 20001.
