In the framework of the IT-US Defense Science &Technology Dialogue - From Basic research to Innovation (before acquisition)- launched last May 2013 on April 8th to April 11th the Italian Defense General Secretariat and the Embassy of Italy (Office of the Economic Commercial and Scientific affairs - Defense Attaché' Office), are a promoting the second Technical Information Exchange Meetings (TIEM) with Army and Navy.

This effort, organized of the joint activities started in 2012 with the Defense Industry Workshop, with the support of the Italian Aerospace and Defense Industry Federation (AIAD), is aimed at endorsing a long-lasting partnership between the scientific communities of the two Nations, with specific reference to Defense-related research and technology.
