Space, cooperation in the space field, and the so-called "space economy" represent an increasingly important element in the relations between Italy and the USA, as underlined by Prime Minister Conte and President Trump at the White House at the end of July.

This was highlighted during a conference held at the Italian Embassy in Washington DC in collaboration with the Piedmont Region. The event, attended by numerous American and Italian companies in the Piedmont space cluster, included the presence of the Under-Secretary for Economic Development, Michele Geraci, in Washington for an institutional visit. Geraci recalled how the excellence of our companies and the professionalism of our public institutions have allowed “Italy to establish itself in a strategic and highly competitive sector".
