Italian-American Heritage Month in Cleveland: meet Lorraine Dodero

Sep 02, 2017 1680

In one month we will be celebrating Italian-American Heritage Month throughout the United States. Italian Americans in Northeast Ohio will begin our celebration with an event at Cleveland City Hall. During that event, five notable honorees will be acknowledged for their contributions to our community, personal accomplishments and extraordinary passion and promotion of their Italian-American heritage.

Few in Northeast Ohio have made a more noteworthy impact on our community than Lorraine Dodero. Lorraine epitomizes the strength, fortitude and vision of the world's most successful women. A proud Italian-American, she has devoted and immersed herself selflessly into a vast array of community service and charitable causes throughout her adult life.

Her business acumen, passion for community service and her interest in the historical Italian treasures, culminated in her opening and chairing the Ohio Chapter of The Patrons of the Arts in the Vatican Museums in 1995. This organization restores and maintains priceless pieces of artwork for the Vatican’s’ 13 museums. Mrs. Dodero’s generosity is exemplified not only by her charitable contributions but also through the unselfish and extraordinary investment of her time in causes that are dear to her heart. Lorraine has a special passion for organizations that fund causes for women and children.

Her list of accomplishments and tireless support of the arts only scratch the surface of Lorraine Dodero's positive impact on those around her.

Please plan to join us on Monday, October 2, 2017 at Cleveland City Hall to congratulate Lorraine and others who will be honored that evening. The event is FREE and open to the public. Take advantage of this opportunity to celebrate - and learn more about the impact of Italian-Americans in Northern Ohio!

See you there!
