The Italian American Veterans Post 1 is holding a dinner dance honoring veterans and celebrating 60 years since its Ladies Auxiliary has been chartered. The double celebration begins with cocktails at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 11 at their post, 4567 Oberlin Ave. in Lorain, with dinner being served at 6 p.m. and a memorial service at 7 p.m. Music will be provided by the Swing City Band. Tickets cost $25 and they will not be sold at the door.
Interested parties are asked to contact Bambi Dillon, president of the Ladies Auxiliary, by Nov. 4, at 440-989-6539. Dillon said even if attendees either cannot or choose not to dance, they’re more than welcome to enjoy the music and have a nice meal while supporting the Ladies Auxiliary and veterans.
