Every year, St. Peter’s Fiesta committee members try to do something special to mark the festival which takes place annual at the end of June. The special happening this year will be the release of "Nonna, What is St. Peter’s Fiesta?" The illustrated children’s book shares the meaning of the traditions of Gloucester’s St. Peter’s Fiesta and is scheduled for Friday, June 1. The Committee wanted to ensure that the book was ready prior to this year's event.
All proceeds from sales of the book will go to The St. Peter’s Fiesta, a nonprofit organization, which serves to preserve this Sicilian-Italian-American tradition. The author is Gloucester's Laura Alberghini Ventimiglia, whose family has a long history of involvement with Fiesta.
