Drs. Mangione and DiCello will speak about and read from their book, which encompasses three major themes: the importance of the father/daughter relationship throughout the lifecycle; the process of loss, mourning, and reconfiguring the relationship when the father dies; and the impact of Italian American culture on such relationships and loss.
The book also offers suggestions and exercises for women who are going through the experiences of mourning. Books will be available for purchase at the event. Light refreshments and wine will be served. The event will be held at a private residence in North Haven.
