You are cordially invited to attend a reading of Dr. Salvatore Pizzuro's one-act play titled, "Lady Liberty" at the Italian American Museum on Thursday, June 19. The play deals with the experience of inner-city Italian Americans among the working poor, struggling to be part of the American dream.
They are further challenged by the plight of a terminally ill parent and the fate of her developmentally disabled child. The ethnic disparagement of Italian Americans vs. other ethnic groups is discussed as well.
