As the Independence Italian Cultural Museum is an important part of our community and has grown to be one of the largest Italian Cultural Museums in the State, State Representative Nicholas Muscarello presented a donation to the museum to help their ongoing marketing efforts.
“I am proud to support the efforts of Donnie Orlando, Libby Rose, Larry Calmes, Mayor Jim Paine and their volunteers by donating to help create a new museum brochure, website and promoting their Sotto Le Stelle, Night Under the Stars Dinner on Saturday, Sept. 17,” said Rep. Muscarello. “This museum has an outstanding collection and exhibits that capture the Italian and Sicilian spirit as they moved and settled in Tangipahoa Parish.”
