A history project is in the works about early Italian settlers (1880-1950) in the Pacific Northwest, specifically Idaho, Oregon, and Washington. Please reach out to author and historian, Tessa Floreano with stories and original high-resolution photos to be considered for publication in either the book or website. The book, Italians in the Pacific Northwest, will be published by Arcadia Publishing in late 2023.
Stories and photos that don't make it into the book may be published in this website. The manuscript deadline is early 2023, though I aim to finish by late 2022. Contact info here. Tessa Floreano is a dual Italian-Canadian citizen who divides her time between Seattle, Vancouver, and Friuli-Venezia Giulia. She writes as a vocation and an avocation—the latter focusing on history, both fiction and non-fiction.
Tessa has both a curiosity and passion for her deep roots in the boot, where she's traced all four sets of her grandparents' ancestors back to the mid-1600s in the same town of San Daniele del Friuli. Her latest novel, SLAIN OVER SPUMONI, can be found on her website.
