A couple with a knack for historical renovations is on the brink of re-opening the beloved Simrell's bar, with a fresh name and a back to basics feel. Ken Ramsay and Joe Everhart are calling their latest landmark restoration a reboot of the original Simrell's Italian restaurant from 60 years ago.
With their new restaurant and bar, Alimentari Da Pesavento, the couple hopes to bring a taste of Italy to the town they love. "We want people to feel a little transported. Whether that be to Indianapolis to Mass Avenue, to Chicago, to Italy literally. We just think that it's, you know, it's gonna be like a we hope it feels like a little mini vacation," said Everhart.
