Nye Beach now has its neighborhood Italian restaurant. In early June, Restaurant Beck chef Justin Wills opened Sorella, a casual, family-style Italian spot, in Newport's Nye Beach, about 20 minutes down U.S. 101 from Depoe Bay, where Wills and wife Stormee Wills continue to operate brother Restaurant Beck.
The 2,400-square-foot space, formerly home to the Savory Cafe & Pizzeria, serves an approachable, Northern Italian menu broken into four main parts: "apps," "pizza," "pasta" and "entrees." Appetizers are simple; you'll find a Caesar salad tossed with punchy Parmesan crisps, bruschetta topped with goat cheese, white beans and pancetta and more.
