Maurizio Biasini is Professor of Experimental Physics at the University of Perugia and his research activity has always been carried out in the field of elementary particle physics, in particular in the experimental study of fundamental interactions with accelerator experiments, in constant collaboration with the Istituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare (INFN).
He worked on the CMS experiment at the LHC accelerator at CERN, on the Babar experiment at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center in the United States, on the Belle2 experiment at the KEK laboratory in Japan and on the L3 experiment on the LEP accelerator at CERN for which he has held research and management responsibilities.
