Children are invited to learn basic Italian, the metric system and southern European culture while cooking shortbread cookies during La Piccola Cucina, a cooking class hosted by the Italian Cultural and Community Center.
The center, located at 1101 Milford St. in Neartown, offers the hands-on culinary experience for children ages 3-12 every month, and has been doing so since 2012. The next class is to be held from 12-1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 24 at Four Seasons Hotel, 1300 Lamar St.
