From unfailing crowd favorites like cannolis to the unpronounceable sfogliatelle, Italian cuisine includes some of the most infamous sweet treats. New Jersey is home to millions of Italians, including my family, and we take our food seriously. Dessert is no exception, especially around the holidays.
But not all treats are created equal. While there are dozens of Italian bakeries across the tri-state area, we’re shining a light on just a few community favorites. In no particular order, here are the 12 Italian bakeries in New Jersey that everyone should try.
