It was to Mancini Pizza that Jax headed, straight from the airport the day after the "American Idol" finale. Missing her favorite pizza, Jax and her family had dinner together that night. Less than a week later, on May 19, an early-morning fire shuttered Mancini Pizza.
The news spread fast on social media with hope that the popular family-owned and operated Italian-American restaurant would reopen in a timely fashion. On Wednesday, the community finally had something else to be thankful for this Thanksgiving — Mancini Pizza was reopening.
