750ml Wines is rebranding its Brecksville location, becoming an Italian restaurant with a specialized menu – but keeping the well-culled wine list that it has offered over the years. This month, 750ml Wines is becoming Carpe Raci Italian Restaurant, owner Lauren Carpeta said. “Carpe” is derived from her maiden name while “Raci” is the original spelling of her husband’s name – Race.
“If you broke it down, it’s ‘Seize the race,’” she said. Official grand-opening celebration is Friday, Sept. 29. But the boutique wine bar is hosting gatherings in its Akron location in Pilgrim Square on Thursday, Sept. 7, and in Brecksville on Thursday, Sept. 21, to get the word out. “750ml Wines will always be the name of the restaurant group as well as Akron, our first location,” she said.
