The chefs at the Nesso Italian kitchen have a goal of pulling authentic taste out of local ingredients, but now they have some new reasons for people to come and visit the downtown restaurant. Even though the restaurant, like many others, was in need of support, the COVID-19 pandemic gave the restaurant a reason to help support the community. They partnered with Second Helpings to make hundreds of meals for food pantries serving people in need.
“It’s been a really awesome opportunity to help out our community while at the same time giving employees hours which they otherwise wouldn’t have,” Nesso general manager Jared May said. Meanwhile, May hopes people will continue to support the restaurant’s staff and their new menu items.
