Another Italian restaurant will fill the space left by Pasquale's in downtown East Dundee. Dino Mondelli, who operates Dino's Pizza and Pasta in Lake in the Hills, is leasing the site at 310 N. River St., to open LaTavola Ristorante & Pizzeria. Pasquale's Pizzeria & Delicatessen shut its doors last month after about a year in business.
Tom Roeser, who owns the River Street building, said he also is under contract to sell the building itself to Frank Tomasello. "This is good news for two reasons," Roeser said. "People are seeing the revitalization of East Dundee as beneficial and we had several people inquire about putting a restaurant in the vacant Pasquale's. We chose the operator who had the best track record and we felt would add to the neighborhood."
