Pomodoro Italian restaurant is open in the one-time Black & Tan building at 101 Ft. Howard Ave., De Pere.

Restaurant owners Jerry and Mia Clearwater have extensive experience operating Italian restaurants in New York, Maine, Tennessee, North Carolina and Wisconsin. Their last restaurant was in Reedsburg.

Jerry Clearwater is Italian and uses recipes he learned from his mother and grandmother, Mia Clearwater said.
