Modern Roman cuisine has arrived in Midtown Detroit with the opening of SheWolf Pastificio & Bar. The highly-anticipated restaurant is led by chef Anthony Lombardo, formerly of Southfield’s Bacco Ristorante, who has spent nearly two years living and studying in Italy.
Lombardo told The Detroit News last fall that SheWolf, which is named after a story in Roman folkore, aims to set itself apart with its pasta program. The menu will be more modern, and less like the “red-sauce Italian” restaurants that Americans are used to.
