When customers think of Cosimo Rulli, they don't think of a Bit of Italy, they think of a lot of love. The 89-year-old proprietor of Cosimo & Susie's A Bit of Italy exudes that emotion with his wife at the Italian restaurant he and Susie have run for the past 35 years at Town & Country Shopping Center.
Rulli calls the food "slow food," cooked and prepared with care for each order. Homemade lasagna, sauces and other creations pepper the menu that, Rulli says, is prepared with the customer in mind, not the stopwatch."I cook every day," he said of his 12-14-hour days. "I make sauce almost two, three times a week. We make homemade lasagna, and Susie makes all that, and the white sauce, and she's a very good cook."
