Living the Italian lifestyle and culture is the perfect way to discover Italy!
This program, developed in collaboration with Pelago University in Naples offers the opportunity to experience and taste the Mediterranean cuisine, learn Italian language and visit Campania, a region in the south Italy rich in artistic and archaeological sites, as Pompei, known all over the world.
This experience will allow you to take part in excursions and activities offered in the program; you will taste different foods and flavors, enjoy the fantastic natural view of the Gulf of Naples and Cilento and admire the great architecture and landscape of Naples.
The two week program includes :
- 18 hours of Italian language lessons,
- 28 hours of Italian wine and food classes, as well as cooking workshops.

The course is designed to combine theory and practice for those who wish to:
* Acquire the knowledge necessary to progress in the field of Professional Cookery.
* Work in the hospitality or tourism industry.
* Improve their own CV with certificates in professional practice and practical experiences.
* Get a practical experience abroad, in a country which is well-known for its cooking and wine traditions.
* Improve Italian language skills through food and wine glossary (ISP).
The course will take place from July 20 to August 1, 2014.
The Course includes Mediterranean cookery and visits to places of interest.
The program deals with:
- cooking and pizza
- making lessons in demo and training mode;
- in-depth analysis about the traditional menu;
- food cost control;
- the "grammar of the taste";
- preparing and serving a gala menu under the direction of the Chef and the Maitre.
- A dinner room service (optional),focused on the history and practice of the service, with focus on the world of wine.
The Course is designed for students in Tourism and Hospitality Management and any personinterested in the Mediterranean food and wine industry.
The Course aims to train students to work in the field of professional cookery. The training allows the integration of theoretical knowledge with practical skills with a particular emphasis on the aspects of traditional and regional foods.
