GREEN: Gervasi Vineyard's newest project, which is expected to open in late 2014, has a new name, logo and official Facebook page. General manager Scot Swaldo, son of owner Ted Swaldo, announced Wednesday that remodeling is well underway for the Twisted Olive Italian American Kitchen, located in Green's Southgate/Boettler Park, at the former Belden Lodge.
In May, Ted Swaldo, founder and owner of Gervasi Vineyard and Italian Bistro in Stark County's Plain Township, agreed to purchase the 8.4-acre lodge off Massillon and Mount Pleasant roads from the city for $625,000. At the time, Swaldo said he planed to turn the three-floor, 16,000-square-foot lodge into a gourmet restaurant, a special events center and an Italian bistro.
