The chef/owner of popular Lincoln Park Italian restaurants Riccardo Trattoria and Riccardo Enoteca is planning a new spot in the West Loop/Fulton Market. Riccardo Michi is taking over the shuttered Vera space at 1023 W. Lake Street, according to a liquor license application first noticed by Block Club. There are no additional details yet on its name, concept, or opening timeframe, so stay tuned.
— The owners of 36-year-old Wacker Drive Italian restaurant Bella Bacino’s, who announced its shutter in August but hoped to relocate nearby, revealed where it’ll relocate to. It’s heading around the corner to the Hilton Garden Inn at 66 E. Wacker Place, according to some of their Facebook comments, following the closing of its current location on October 15. There’s no word yet on when it’ll reopen in its new home.
