If the first bites are any indication, Monello, an Italian restaurant in the old Porter and Frye space in the Hotel Ivy in downtown Minneapolis, is going to knock it out of the park.
We got a sneak peek this past weekend, and Chef Michael "Young Chef" DeCamp, most recently head chef at La Belle Vie, has created fresh, beautiful dishes like a beet and strawberry salad that tastes like a summer day, a fig and foie gras dish that is as light and delicate as any foie gras dish we've tasted, and a rabbit pasta dish with artichokes that we are still drooling over.
