Mike Andino is a Glenview native who works as a chef at Gusto Italiano restaurant. After graduating from Glenbrook South High School in 2001, he attended Kendall College culinary school in Evanston. Italian food is in his blood, he said, because his mother is from Italy.
Why did you want to be a chef? "I just love being creative and getting to see people's joy from eating what I put out for them. And I like the interaction with people and the controlled chaos that is the kitchen."
