This week the website Geekologie named toasted ravioli Missouri's signature dish. The Now KC's Justin Wilfon went to one of the few KC restaurants that serves it, to see what all the fuss is about.
Toasted ravioli originated in the famous Italian neighborhood in St. Louis, known as The Hill. "The raviolis, the cook accidentally dropped them in the deep fryer," said Michael Garozzo, who grew up in St. Louis and opened Garozzo's Ristorante in Kansas City in 1989.
