A Mano Italian Kitchen & Pizzeria is chef Antonio Bettencourt's latest vision for an authentic Italian eatery on the North Shore. This past fall, the Peabody native transformed his popular 62 Restaurant in the same Salem location on Wharf Street.
"62 was always viewed as an expensive restaurant reserved for special occasions, or when you had a gift certificate, and not necessarily an everyday type of place," said Bettencourt. "That's what prompted the change to A Mano. I wanted a clean break from the idea of 62 being for once-a-year dining.
