Piacenze is a restaurant located on Route 100 in West Dover. This is Italian food you don't take out. Sit and enjoy anyone of the many homemade pastas. I had the gnocchi with braised lamb cheeks and lamb prosciutto that I was supposed to share with my husband, but didn't. My antipasti was the white bean escarole, and with the first taste I was immediately transported back into my grandma's Italian kitchen.
Coming from an Italian household of 10, I remember that kitchen, as a five-year-old in my high chair banging my spoon for more of that great Italian food. That night at Piacenza our table of seven ordered three dishes of the meatballs. They were prepared close to perfection.
