Are well-established pizzerias from outside New Haven coming to the Elm City to prove themselves or to enjoy even greater "street cred" among kindred souls? We can't be certain.
Some of it might even be push back against the expansion of the Frank Pepe brand. But with the opening of Colony Grill in Milford, Tarry Lodge in New Haven and Grimaldi's in Woodbridge, it does appear to be an emerging trend.
