Still settling into the new location that’s more than three times the size of their old warehouse, brothers Phil and Nick Mastroianni are gearing up for the busy limoncello season. The owners of Salem-based Fabrizia Spirits have come a long way during their 10 years in business.
In the beginning, the two would gather their friends and family on nights and weekends to hand-peel lemons for their limoncello. Last year they imported 400,000 Sicilian lemons to feed to Giuseppe — the Italian machine that peels the lemons named for their uncle Joe. Their product line has also expanded to multiple limoncello products, including the new Italian margaritas and Italian lemonade.
