Eataly New York is joining the ranks of gourmet retailers offering store tours and cooking classes for children.
"Our goal is to inspire this love and understanding of high-quality food, so we have introduced two new ways to get your kids as excited about the kitchen as we are," says the Eataly website.
Passport to Eataly is a one-hour store tour for children ages 8-12. Led by an ambassador, children traveled from station to station, sample foods and learn Italian words and phrases. At each station, participants receive a stamp on their Eataly passports. At the end of the tour, each child receives a cup of gelato and is deemed an Eatalian citizen.
