You may have seen the popular piece of public artwork in the Houston Heights, a colorful mural with the title "Greetings from Houston." What you may not know is that it was put up a year ago by the owners of the gelato shop around the corner from the mural, a shop becoming as popular as the art itself.
Gelazzi serves up the sweet Italian treat, along with cookies, pastries, and cakes. And there are plans for a savory addition in July. "We plan to serve pizza, deep dish Chicago-style, stuffed, and a thin version," said co-owner Louie Comella. Both pizza and gelato runs in his family.
