The Italy-American Chamber of Commerce of Texas announced registration is open for the Taste of Italy in Houston. The event connects over 500 attendees from every segment of the food and wine industry with buying power and decision-making ability.
All the main Texas based brokers, importers and distributors will be present. In the years passed, key buyers for Kroger, Spec’s, HEB and Central Market attended. Texas is a ripe market for Made in Italy food and beverage items because it is not as saturated compared to the East and West coasts. Maurizio Gamberucci, Deputy Director of the Italy-America Chamber of Commerce South Central, describes the market for authentic Italian restaurants as incomplete.
