Expo Milano 2015, the universal exhibition dedicated to food and nutrition that opened on May 1, has recorded a boom of visitors. More than half a million people attended the world's fair during this first weekend of events, or as much as 650,000 according to Coldiretti, the Italian farmers' association present with its own space at the fair.
Separately, speaking about the devastation carried out by anti-globalization activists on the opening day, Prime Minister Matteo Renzi said yesterday in Bologna: "We are stronger than four thugs with a Rolex."
