My wife says that I am a genetically engineered workaholic. From observing my busy siblings, I would have to agree! So when she devised a two-week trip to Europe this June to celebrate our recent 30th wedding anniversary, I was plagued with thoughts of "work withdrawal syndrome" (my own diagnosis!).
This is characterized by the constant body search for your missing beeper/phone and continual worrying that you have forgotten to do something. Once we landed in Rome and inhaled some vino and a few scoops of gelato, I was temporarily cured of this "malady."
